Become a Treasure Coast Theatre Volunteer and Help Us Make the Magic Happen!

Staging great community theatre truly “takes a village.” The polished performances you see on stage are the culmination of hours of hard work and rehearsal by the cast, the director and crew. If you’ve ever had a burning desire to get involved with our productions behind the scenes, there are a myriad of opportunities and no experience is necessary.

 A great play is nothing without an audience. Working in advertising and promotion, you’ll help us get the word out about upcoming shows to help ensure every performance is a sell-out. 

 Work the front desk, selling tickets while providing information and guidance to people inquiring about shows, show times, auditions and ticket availability. You can also work “front of house” during performances welcoming patrons, answering questions and selling refreshments.

 You’ll get to attend rehearsals and live performances and operate the stage lights, execute sound cues and play incidental music before and during the show. You’ll be a critical part of every performance. And you'll learn a valuable skill.

 The set is the imaginary world our actors perform in during each show, and it’s just as important as the actors and the script. Even if you’ve never hammered a nail or picked up a paint brush before, we’ll show you how to construct a set and decorate it to fit the requirements of the play.

 Sometimes, finding the perfect props and costumes is a challenge, particularly with shows set in the past. While many of our actors find their own props and costumes, there are times when an old-fashioned telephone, a piece of unusual furniture, or a costume from past decades or centuries

may be needed. If you love shopping – or if you’re handy with a thread and needle – this is the volunteer job for you.

 Every season, Treasure Coast Theatre endeavors to find the best shows that will entertain and enlighten local audiences. If you like to read, or simply enjoy searching for interesting dramas, comedies and musicals, this is the perfect job for you.

 If you’re a student looking to add to your volunteer hours in a fun and rewarding way, volunteering for Treasure Coast Theatre is a fantastic place to look. Plus, working as a Treasure Coast Theatre volunteer always looks great on college applications!
