In this classic tale, ten strangers - all with a wicked past -- are summoned to a remote British island. As the weather turns and the house is cut off from the mainland, the guests are murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme.
Vera Claythorne - Female lead, 20s
She was hired as a secretary through the mail to work for the owners of the island,. Years earlier, she was a nanny to a boy who drowned. The killer believes that she is guilty and must still be punished. As the other houseguests die, Vera is clever and calculating, identifying clues and forming her own theories of the killer’s identity.
Philip Lombard - Male lead, early 30s
A former Captain of the King’s Rifles, stationed in South Africa. He is charismatic, well-spoken, and intelligent, with an intense romantic chemistry with Vera early on. He is accused by the murderer of abandoning his men to certain death. He works with Wargrave and Blore to solve the mystery.
Sir Lawrence Wargrave - Male lead, 50s-70s
A stern and dignified judge, known for sending the issuing the most death sentences. He is accused of sentencing an innocent man to death. He is shrewd and calculating and works to find the killer and get off the island.
William Blore - Supporting male, 30s-50s
A private detective, who is at the island undercover. He is accused of perjury-- sending an innocent man to jail, who then died due to his harsh treatment. He is perpetually hungry.
Dr Edward Armstrong - Supporting male, 30s-50s
A former surgeon turned nerves specialist. He is a fussy and anxious man, riddled with guilt. An alchoholic, he is accused of murdering a patient by operating on her while drunk.
Emily Brent - Supporting female, 50s-70s
An uptight, judgmental, harsh and rigid spinster who condemns the loose morality of the day and carried her Bible everywhere. She is accused of bringing about the death of a maid, who she turned out because the girl was pregnant. The girl committed suicide.
Rogers -- Supporting male, 40s-60s
A manservent recently hired to to prepare for a houseful of mystery guests and attends to their needs. He and his wife are accused of murdering their previous employer to inherit some of her fortune. He is often nervous and seems overwhelmed, but is commanding towards his wife.
General John McKenzie - Supporting male, 70s-80s
A befuddled and depressed former general, who is a creature of habit. He is accused of sending one of his soldiers to certain death because the man was his wife's lover. He is often confused and welcomes death.
Anthony Marston - Supporting male, late teens-early 20s
He is flashy, spoiled, obnoxious and careless. He is a reckless driver, who is accused of killing two children while driving. He is the first to die.
Fred Narracott - Featured male, any age
He arrives by boat to the island every morning with mail and deliveries, and then leaves until the next day. He is the only line of communication off of the island.
