In this powerful drama set in 1964, Sister Aloysius, a rigidly conservative Bronx Catholic school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the progressive and beloved parish priest, Father Flynn, of improper relations with one of the students. Is he guilty, or does she not like or trust him because of his progressive ideas?
Doubt: A Parable was awarded the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama when it was first performed on Broadway. It was also nominated for a total of eight Tony Awards, while winning four.
