In this Broadway hit, a trio of military lawyers attempt to defend two Marines accused of complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay. During the trial, they uncover a high-level conspiracy designed to eliminate weaker soldiers in the name of patriotism.

Daniel Kaffee: Late 20s/30s. JAG lawyer known for settling cases out of court. Biding his time in the JAG corps until he can become a corporate lawyer. Always being compared to his legendary lawyer father.
Joanne Galloway: Late 20s/30s. JAG lawyer. The only woman in a world of men. Takes her job seriously, but is perceived as a pain in the butt. All heart, but not much experience.
Sam Weinberg: Late 20s/30s. Brilliant JAG lawyer, and Kaffee’s friend. Often tasked with keeping Kafee in line.
Nathan Jessep: 40s/50s. The highest ranked officer at GITMO. Believes in the importance of the code and the corps — and himself.
Matthew Markinson: 50s. Marine with strong feelings about what happened to Santiago. Outranked by Jessep despite being older than him.
Jonathan Kendrick: late 20s to early 40s. Marine at GITMO, and superior of Dawson and Downey. Believes in the importance of code and the corps. Believes God is always watching.
Jack Ross: late 20s/30s. JAG attorney and prosecutor in this case. Very experienced and well regarded.
Harold Dawson: 20s/30s. Marine who attacks Santiago. Believes in the importance of the code and the corps. Downey’s superior.
Louden Downey: Late Teens/Early 20s. Marine who attacks Santiago. Believes in the importance of the code and the corps.
William Santiago: Late Teens/Early 20s. Marine murdered at GITMO by Dawson and Downey. Was desperate to leave GITMO before this.
Isaac Whitaker: 40s-60s. JAG attorney, Kaffee and Sam’s superior.
Jeffery Howard: 20s. Same rank as Dawson. A key witness to the events surrounding Santiago. Model Marine.
Julius Randolph: 40s-60s. The Judge at the trial. Tough but fair, and understands the world of the Navy.
Walter Stone: 30s-60s. Doctor onside at GITMO who examines Santiago’s body. Struggles with meshing his morality as a doctor with his loyalty to the Marines.
